Product Description

Incoloy® alloy A-286 is an age-hardenable Iron-Nickel-Chromium alloy with high strength and corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures. Incoloy® A-286 can operate from cryogenic temperatures up to 750°F. This age hardenable, Iron-Nickel-Chromium alloy is designed for applications requiring high strength and good corrosion resistance at temperatures up to 700°C (1290°F). Incoloy® A286’s strength makes it ideal for various components as part of aircraft and industrial gas turbines. The alloy is also used in the offshore oil and gas industry, and for fastener applications in automotive engine and manifold components that are exposed to high levels of heat and stress.

Alloy A286 is an iron base, age-hardenable superalloy useful for applications requiring high strength and corrosion resistance up to 1300°F (704°C) and for lower stress applications at higher temperatures. The alloy is also used for low temperature applications requiring a ductile, non-magnetic high strength material at temperatures ranging from above room temperature down to at least -320°F (-196°C).

Characters
1. It is a versatile nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy with better overall corrosion resistance than other existing nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys.
2. It has good resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
3. It has excellent resistance to oxidative aqueous media, including wet chlorine, nitric acid or mixed acids of oxidative acids containing chloride ions

Corrosion Resistance
It is suitable for various chemical process industries containing oxidizing and reducing media. The higher molybdenum and chromium contents make the alloy resistant to chloride ions, and the tungsten element further improves its corrosion resistance.

Applications
1. Acetic acid, acetic anhydride
2. Pickling
3. Cellophane manufacturing
4. Chlorination system
5. Complex Mixed Acids
6.Expansion bellows
7. Flue gas cleaning system
8. Geothermal Wells
9. Nuclear fuel regeneration
10. Insecticide production
11.Phosphoric acid production
12. Pickling system
